  2. Take all possible steps to minimise further damage or loss.
  3. Include supporting information with your claim, including quotes for replacement and repair, purchase receipts, and photographs of damage.
  4. For claims involving burglary, notify the police immediately and include their reference number on your claim form.

Marine

Marine insurance claims can be complicated, involving suppliers, carriers, and other stakeholders, often in different parts of the world. Get your issue resolved by making a claim as quickly as possible and including as much detail as you can.

How to make a claim:​

  1. Submit a claim form as soon as you’re aware of loss or damage, so we can notify your insurer.​
  2. Immediately lodge pro-forma claims against all responsible parties.​
  3. Take all necessary steps to mitigate loss or further damage.​​
  4. For Cargo Claims include all supporting documentation including shipping invoices, Bill of Lading/Air Waybills, Certificate of Insurance, and any correspondence exchanged with carriers and other involved parties.​​
  5. For Hull Claims include supporting documentation such as repair/replacement quotes and photographs of damage.​

Travel

Like personal travel, business travel can involve missed connections, lost luggage, and hotel mix-ups. If you or your staff run into problems while travelling for work, make a claim as soon as you can.​

How to make a claim:​​

  1. Submit a claim form as soon as you find out about the loss, so we can notify your insurer.​​
  2. Include any supporting documentation – including full original itinerary, invoices for travel and amended bookings, correspondence from carriers, medical certificates, and proof of ownership.​

Liability

If your business is liable for damage or loss to another party, legal fees and other costs can add up quickly. Make a claim promptly, so these expenses don’t eat into your operating costs.​

  2. Include any relevant correspondence or other documentation from the third party, especially those holding you liable.​​

How to make a claim:

  1. Take photos of the damage- for example photograph the point of entry or exist for burglary, or damaged laptop. 
  2. Take steps to minimise the loss or damage as possible-for example, removing the damaged items from a flooded room, or securing broken locks after a burglary.
  3. Complete our online claim form providing brief circumstances, time and date of incident, so we can notify the insurance company immediately. 
  4. Attached on the claim form appropriate support documents- such as photos, quotes for replacement or repair, receipt from original purchase, and invoice for emergency repairs. 
  5. For burglary or theft incidents, notify the police immediately, noting the police reference and contact details of the officer in the claim form.
