Alan has been in the insurance industry for many years. He spent his formative years in claims and then moved on to underwriting, marketing and management. Alan has focused on fire & general broking since 2016. He joined ICIB Brokerweb in January 2022.

Alex started his career in insurance in 1999 and worked in both claims and broking roles in both New Zealand and the UK. Alex joined ICIB Brokerweb in 2014.

Anne has over 30 years’ experience in both domestic and commercial insurance. She began her career in the 1980s and joined the ICIB team in 2018. Anne has a strong customer service focus, and she enjoys the challenge of finding the perfect policy for her domestic clients.  

Daniel started working in insurance while studying Business Management at Leeds University. After 6 years as a broker, he took a role managing insurers and Lloyds’ syndicates for the UK’s largest broking network. In 2010, Daniel moved to New Zealand and joined ICIB. Now, he manages a portfolio of clients and leads the ICIB Gold Medal Vintage winery scheme.

Daniella joined the P&C team in 2023 as a People & Culture Coordinator she holds a Bachelor of Commerce with majors in Marketing and Management. In her current role she plays a key role in managing HR functions and supporting People & Culture projects that enhances the work culture. With a passion for helping people thrive, she brings a sense of fun to her role, creating an engaging and positive workplace where employees feel supported and motivated.

David started his career in Kuala Lumpur, working in a Loss Adjustment firm before emigrating to New Zealand in 1989. He joined ICIB as a broker in 1993, eventually becoming a shareholder and senior associate. David’s in-depth experience and knowledge make him an invaluable member of the team.

Denise joined ICIB in November 2022 after returning to New Zealand with her family. Denise has worked in Singapore and London in both insurance and reinsurance across several classes of business, with a particular focus on financial lines. She brings with her a varied and extensive knowledge of liability insurances, client management, insurance programme design and placement, along with a wide network of the international insurance market.

Dirk began his insurance career after studying Business Management at the University of Pretoria. He managed an indigenous brokerage in South Africa before moving to New Zealand in 2020. In New Zealand, he worked for an international broker arranging insurance and reinsurance capacity for large property insurance programs. Dirk joined ICIB Brokerweb in 2024.

Grant started his insurance career as an underwriter in his home town of Hawkes Bay, before switching over to broking. Later, he moved to Auckland and spent 16 years in management at a large global insurance firm. When he joined ICIB in 2016, he brought a wealth of leadership experience and knowledge built up over 30+ years in the industry.

Grant is a shareholder and director of ICIB.

Gurpreet joined ICIB in 2022. She has 4 years experience in commercial insurance including customer service underwriting and business operations.

Jamie has worked in the insurance industry since 2016, specialising in motor claims for both domestic and commercial lines. Now, he uses that knowledge in his role as an internal broker at ICIB. Having recently completed his Level 5 Certificate, he is currently working towards further ANZIIF studies.

Jennifer joins ICIB Brokerweb with an extensive career leading people and culture teams across public and private organisations in professional services including engineering services, legal, insurance and government projects. Her passion lies in connecting and developing people in vibrant workplaces with a human-centric approach to their people strategies and business goals.

John has been involved in the insurance industry for many years having held commercial broking and management positions in both the New Zealand and Fiji insurance markets. He joined ICIB Brokerweb in 2020 and with his broad range of insurance industry knowledge and acumen, provides insurance broking and risk management service to a portfolio of commercial clients.

Katrina is an experienced risk and compliance professional with a proven track record in the financial services industry, including roles in banking, insurance, and professional services. She’s received a leadership award at Deloitte, and held a vital role at NZAA that won the Financial Services Council Governance Award in 2022 and was a finalist in 2023. Katrina holds NZCFS Level 5 qualification and a degree in combined law and finance

Kyla joined the insurance industry in 2018 and started with ICIB in 2024. Working with Domestic clients, she is naturally friendly, helpful and enjoys forging client relationships. She is primarily responsible for the key relationship, providing general advice, technical insurance solutions and sharing market knowledge along with escalating any problems. Her previous roles as broker support and domestic broker have given her a fantastic understanding of the industry and her current focus is on building her skill set to become a knowledge expert in her broker role. In her spare time Kyla enjoys running, going to the beach, and spending time with friends and family.

Upon leaving school Lauren went into a training programme for short term insurance, after a year she started working for the mining sector. End of 2016 still in the mining sector, she started working for Glenrand MIB Insurance Brokers who are now AON Insurance. She and her family immigrated from South Africa to New Zealand in October 2019 where she obtained NZ working experience at Viridian Glass, She then started working for AON NZ in June 2021 as a Rural & Commercial admin support thereafter started her ICIB Brokerweb journey in February 2024.

Lisa has recently joined ICIB having spent much of her insurance career as a Commercial Underwriter.

As a Support Broker, Lorryn brings a unique blend of customer service expertise and industry knowledge to her clients. She's pursuing her ANZIIF qualification in General Insurance Broking.

Her bachelor’s degree in communication’s enhances her ability to connect with clients, understand their concerns, and present complex information clearly.

Lorryn is passionate about helping individuals and businesses protect what matters most to them.

Mark brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our team with over 35 years’ experience in the insurance industry having held key leadership positions with leading insurers and insurance brokerages throughout his career. Mark has responsibility to lead the Auckland region for ICIB Brokerweb.

After almost a decade in the insurance industry, Michael joined the ICIB team in December 2018. He has experience in both domestic and commercial insurance, having worked in various underwriting and sales roles before training as a broker in 2016.

Natalie joined ICIB BrokerWeb in 2021 and prior to this had worked for two large international broking firms in both New Zealand and Australia servicing a wide range of commercial, rural and personal lines clients. Natalie has an emphasis on risk management and customer service and is the national Personal Lines Manager for ICIB BrokerWeb

Peter Holder is an experienced senior leader with over 15 years specialising in operational leadership. With a focus on optimising processes, enhancing efficiencies, and driving business growth, he has held key roles at Ando, AIG, and Crombie Lockwood. Peter excels in overseeing large-scale operations, aligning strategy with execution, and fostering high-performing teams.

Peter began his insurance career in 2014. After three years as a domestic broker for business owners and private clients, he moved into the commercial space arranging insurance solutions for businesses and commercial property. Peter joined the team at ICIB Brokerweb in 2022, and works with SME to corporate clients.

During his 35-year insurance career, Phil gained extensive experience in a variety of leadership, sales and claims roles. That experience, combined with his Business Studies and Finance Qualifications, makes him an effective and knowledgeable Operations Manager for the ICIB team.

Reesan joined ICIB Brokerweb as our Financial Controller in February 2024.

He is a Chartered Accountant and started his career at KPMG where he worked across multiple service lines including Audit, Accounting & Tax Advisory within the Private Enterprise division. Most recently, he was the Finance Manager at AS Colour and prior to that he had worked in various finance roles in London.

Richard began his career as a broker in the London insurance market. Following 10 years in Asia where he held a number of senior leadership roles in both Indonesia and Hong Kong, he arrived in New Zealand in 2008. Richard joined ICIB in 2021 bringing with him his extensive experience in developing client management and insurance programme development and placement.

Robin started in the insurance industry in 2002. She has worked in New Zealand and Australia in broking roles across various industries including aviation, wine production/export and clothing manufacturing, from small business to global. Robin has Tier 1 & 2 insurance broking qualification gained in Australia.

Sachiko has a background in sales and business development, with a particular focus on the finance and motor vehicle industry. One of her key strengths lies in her ability to provide a personalized approach to every client, taking the time to listen and understand their individual needs and circumstances.

Shanesh has been immersed in personal insurance underwriting since 2020 and joined ICIB in early 2024 as an internal broker. Passionate about enhancing his skills and delivering positive outcomes, he is currently pursuing his Level 5 certificate to further his expertise in the field.

Sheryl joined ICIB in 2022, after having spent the 18 years in the Education sector. Sheryl provides support to the wider broker team and their clients.

Simon has over 30 years’ experience in the insurance business, including 25 as a broker. He has worked in New Zealand and the UK, is a qualified Lloyds Broker and an Associate of the Insurance Brokers Association of New Zealand. He brings those qualifications and extensive experience to his role as Executive Broker at ICIB.

Steve started his insurance career in Vancouver, Canada, before moving to New Zealand in 2009. He has worked in domestic and commercial underwriting and claims, developing in-depth knowledge of the industry. Steve joined the ICIB team as an internal broker in 2020.

Tania has been involved in the insurance industry for many years. Tania joined ICIB Brokerweb in 2022 and with her insurance industry knowledge and acumen, provides insurance broking and risk management service to a portfolio of domestic, rural and SME commercial clients.

Tom brings a versatile background to the insurance field, including experience in property management, domestic & commercial real estate, and criminal law. Having graduated from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor of Laws and admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor, he carries a keen eagerness to learn, strong work ethic and commitment to tailoring the best insurance outcomes for clients.

Tony started his career in 2011, and worked in a variety of claims, recovery and fraud investigation roles. He qualified as a broker in 2014, working in domestic and commercial insurance. He uses all those skills in his role as Account Manager at ICIB. Tony is also bilingual – fluent in English and Mandarin.

Originally from Zimbabwe, Tracey has been ICIB’s Accountant and Office Manager since she moved to New Zealand in 2007. Before then, she worked as an accountant in a range of industries in Perth and Adelaide. Tracey is a qualified accountant and multi-talented office manager.

Tracy has worked in the insurance industry since 1991, gaining experience in domestic and commercial insurance, and spending a decade as a Life Insurance Consultant in South Africa. She joined the ICIB team in 2009 and now manages a domestic portfolio and select commercial scheme portfolios.

Vihara joined the finance team in 2023 on a part time basis, whilst studying for her MBA in Supply Chain and Logistics. Vihara has held a number of executive accounting roles in Sri Lanka and is looking forward to gaining NZ based experience whilst continuing her studies.

Warren joined ICIB as Chief Financial Officer in April 2021. 

Warren has over 15 years’ experience in the financial services industry, primarily in Auckland and London. Prior to joining ICIB, Warren was Financial Controller for a large NZ insurance business where he gained financial leadership, operational and strategic experience within the insurance industry. 

Warren is a Chartered Accountant (FCCA) and has a Bachelor of Management Studies (Accounting and Marketing).

Rhyanna has a strong background in operations and customer service. Recently joining ICIB Brokerweb as Broker Support, she leverages her expertise to enhance efficiency and client satisfaction. Previously, as General Manager at Little Ones, she managed a global team and drove key tech projects while fostering a supportive company culture. Outside of work, Rhyanna enjoys family time and exploring the outdoors.

An experienced practitioner and leader, Wayne has over 25 years’ Insurance Broking & Risk Management expertise in industrial & commercial account management.

Operating out of Marlborough, he also has extensive technical insurance expertise in general insurance and commercial across a variety of industries, wineries to marine to Hull and Machinery.

Amy has been working in the insurance industry since 2015 working in a variety of departments. Before joining ICIB Brokerweb she worked for Vero Insurance as a domestic underwriter. Amy joined ICIB BrokerWeb in June 2017 as a Broker Assistant and progressed into her Personal Lines Broker Role in 2019.

Anna started working in insurance in Christchurch in 2008 and continued in the industry whilst living in Western Australia where she gained exposure to a varied range of different businesses and covers. After returning to New Zealand to have her family she is now excited to be back in the industry and looking forward to using her experience to help ICIB Brokerweb’s clients.

Danielle joined ICIB Brokerweb in April 2024, eager to launch her career in insurance as a corporate broker support. Though she is new to the industry, she is quickly acquiring the knowledge and skills needed to effectively assist her brokers and their clients. In her brief time with us, Danielle has already achieved her General Insurance Broking qualification and is enthusiastic about continuing her learning journey alongside her colleagues.

Eric has been working in the Insurance industry for over 25 years in a variety of roles including underwriting, claims and insurance broking.

Having previously worked for a large international broker, Eric joined ICIB Brokerweb in 2021 and is both a team leader and a senior broker looking after a wide range of small to medium business. Eric has specific expertise in transport and rural risks, but his knowledge spans a much wider range of client industries.

Harshan began his insurance career 4 years ago with IAG NZ, where he worked across domestic and commercial insurance. In February 2024, he joined ICIB BrokerWeb as an Insurance Broker, bringing valuable experience in insurance markets & client management.

Izzy started at ICIB BrokerWeb in 2020. Prior to this she worked at a large international broking house. She has experience in commercial, rural, domestic insurance, and claims management. Izzy is relationship focused and enjoys working with a variety of businesses to establish their insurance needs.

Jacob started his career in the insurance industry in 2013, gaining experience in a variety of roles across claims management and broking. He began working for ICIB BrokerWeb in early 2021 and has specific experience within the construction industry. Jacob assists a variety of clients from different industries in understanding their risk, and structuring appropriate insurance solutions for them.

James has been in the insurance industry since 2001. During his career in Auckland and Canterbury he’s gained invaluable insurance experience, whilst fostering strong relationships with key decision makers across New Zealand. He takes pride in, and is passionate about, providing optimum service for his clients and other stakeholders in our business

Jane has worked in the insurance industry since 2006 and has experience working in broking, underwriting, and sales. She has worked in roles within the health insurance sector, as well as within the commercial and personal lines broking spaces. She joined ICIB Brokerweb in May 2023 and enjoys her role supporting the commercial brokers with their clients’ personal lines needs.

Lauren has a background in finance and life insurance. In 2021 she made the move to the commercial and domestic insurance space. Lauren has qualifications in business, life insurance and general insurance. She enjoys the juggle of her current support role and continues to grow her knowledge in the insurance industry. In her personal time Lauren loves being with her young family and enjoying the Christchurch outdoors.

Leeanne is a proud Cantabrian who has worked in the insurance industry for over 20 years. She started with a major insurer as an underwriter and moved into the broking world a couple of years later. Leeanne joined the team here in 2014. Her experience includes underwriting, broking, claims management, and managing staff insurance programmes. Leanne utilizes her broad range of skills to bring a holistic approach to her clients’ insurance needs.

Nicole has over six years’ experience in the insurance industry working in commercial, rural and domestic insurance as a broker. Nicole joined ICIB Brokerweb in 2023 and strives to build strong customer relationships finding the best solution for each client’s needs.

Nisha joined ICIB Brokerweb in August 2024 ready to continue her insurance journey. Nisha has previously worked in domestic and commercial insurance and has a wide range of skills and knowledge. Whilst working for ICIB she is obtaining her certificate in Business Team Management.

Steph started her career with a boutique insurance company in Wellington. When she moved back to Christchurch, she transferred within the company to manage earthquake claims. Steph has been working with brokers since 2018 and joined ICIB BrokerWeb in 2021.

Sue has worked in the New Zealand insurance industry for over 25 years, firstly in the Life & Health sector before moving across to become a Fire & General Broker. Sue came to ICIB BrokerWeb at the beginning of 2022 as the Branch Administrator where she now manages all the office administration functions, including reception duties, for the Southern branch.

Allanah has worked in the insurance industry for over 30 years. The majority of this time was for an insurance broker who dealt predominately in Agri insurance. Over the years she has therefore handled a wide range of Agri claims and always strive to get the best outcomes for clients. Allanah is also experienced in domestic and commercial claims.

Amber began working in insurance full-time, fresh out of high school. Fast forward 25+ years and she has enjoyed a variety of roles with numerous insurers/brokerages, in both the Hawkes Bay & Waikato regions.

Having joined ICIB Brokerweb in 2019, Amber was heavily involved in the Cyclone Gabrielle claims, providing on-the-ground support for our local clients and working closely with insurers to expedite claims for our most vulnerable customers. She is thrilled to be part of the diverse & enthusiastic team in the Hawkes Bay.

Ben has worked in the insurance industry since 2013 and has experience in both domestic and commercial insurance, having worked in various claims handling roles. He now uses his considerable acquired knowledge in his role as claims broker at ICIB.

Caileigh started her insurance career in 2022, joining her family’s business Multisure Ltd which joined with ICIB in November 2023. Caileigh specialises in heavy motor claims but also handles a wide range of claims from domestic to commercial. Prior to working in insurance, Caileigh was a secondary school teacher and taught for several years. She is currently working towards her Level Five qualification with ANZIIF.

Craig has been in the Insurance Industry for over 25 years. He has worked in a variety of roles during this time, with both brokers and direct insurers.

Craig enjoys working with our clients and providing support and advice at claim time.

Jamie has worked in the insurance industry since 2016, specialising in motor claims for both domestic and commercial lines. Now, he uses that knowledge in his role as an internal broker at ICIB. Having recently completed his Level 5 Certificate, he is currently working towards further ANZIIF studies.

Jeremy has over 20 year loss adjusting experience, commencing as a trainee with an international firm in Malaysia, and rising to the ranks of senior management. He has dealt with a multitude of general claims in Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore and has a penchant for Business Interruption Claims. In 2020 he joined the Forensic Advisory Services division in Auckland. In 2022 Jeremy joined ICIB as a Senior Claims broker. His focus is clear communication and successful resolution of claims by adopting a commercially sensible and pragmatic approach.

Jerry started his loss adjustment career in 1979, working in Malaysia, Taiwan, and Brunei, and moving up to senior management positions before migrating to New Zealand in 2002. In Auckland, he worked for an international loss adjusting firm before joining EQC, then managed complex earthquake and commercial claims for a large insurer.  Jerry joined ICIB in 2016 as our Claims Manager, bringing with him vast knowledge in loss adjusting, insurance and management.

Kay began her insurance career at NZI in Waipukurau over 30 years ago. After transferring to their Napier office, she worked on the underwriting side for a few months before moving into claims.

After becoming a claims supervisor, Kay was Invited by Watt Insurance Brokers (now ICIB Brokerweb) to join their team for six months to sort out their claims. 14 plus years later Kay is still here and loving it.

Keegan started his insurance career in 2017 working as a claims consultant for IAG. From there he moved to Suncorp New Zealand where he predominantly managed motor claims specializing in heavy Motor for the Vero brand, as well as other roles within Asteron Life. In late 2021 Keegan joined ICIB Brokerweb as a claims specialist. He currently manages and advocates on a wide range of claims.

Kristen started with the company in 2016. Prior to that she spent 10 years at NZI dealing with all classes of business claims and later specializing in heavy motor and bus & coach claims. She loves the variety her role provides and is very passionate about reaching a fair settlement for our clients. Outside of work, Kristen is a mum to two boys who keep her on her toes.

Leanne started her insurance career with a loss adjusting company as a claims’ technician and, after six years, moved into loss adjusting.

Her time in these roles gave Leanne exposure to a vast variety of commercial and domestic claims including the Christchurch and Kaikoura earthquakes. In 2018 Leanne joined ICIB Brokerweb. Her previous varied and extensive experience with claims and assessing has assisted her to adapt to supporting broker claims. Leanne enjoys providing support, understanding, and empathy to clients in time of need.

Marissa joined ICIB Brokerweb in June of 2022 as a broker support before moving over to our Claims team. Before entering the broking world, she worked in domestic insurance for just over 20 years mostly in the claims team for a direct insurer

Matt joined ICIB in 2024 after a role in local government. Prior to and while studying, he has worked for a number of organisations in training, investigations and management roles. ICIB is Matt’s first foray into insurance, and he enjoys the challenges that go with getting the best outcome for clients.

Sheryll has been working in the insurance industry for over 35 years, mainly in accounting/credit control within insurer and broking firms.

She joined ICIB Brokerweb as a claims specialist in 2017.

Sian started in the insurance industry in 2001 and has worked for both insurers and broking firms in various roles. With qualifications in insurance, accounting and law, she successfully applies her experience and knowledge to achieve excellent claims outcome for clients.

Sian leads the ICIB Brokerweb claims team and is proud to oversee a team of specialists who are passionate about advocating for our clients.

Dani joined ICIB Hawkes Bay in 2022. Her professional background includes 10 years executive administration experience in a corporate environment.

She has qualifications in business and is currently working towards Level 5 certification in fire and general insurance.

Gemma joined Village Insurance in 2023. Her professional background includes key client management, business development and retail management, working with both small/medium and corporate clients. Gemma has qualifications in business and is looking forward to expanding her knowledge within the insurance industry.

Hannah joined ICIB Brokerweb in June 2023. She previously worked in a management role within the retail sector for 13 years. She brings extensive administration and customer support knowledge and experience to her new role and is looking forward to building strong client relationships. Hannah is excited for the change in her career and welcomes the opportunity to complete her formal insurance qualifications.

Kim joined ICIB Life (Hawkes Bay) Limited in October 2023, bringing 15 years of experience in the insurance and financial advice industry. She is passionate about family risk protection and is looking forward to using her expertise to develop exclusive insurance solutions for her clients. A proud Havelock North local, Kim goes above and beyond to help and support clients with their unique insurance needs and works with them to develop a personalised solution.

Paul has been in the industry since 1998 and has a wealth of knowledge and experience. Paul’s passion in the business is spending time getting to know his clients, understanding their personal and business needs to ensure they are adequately covered for the present and the future.

Paul was born and raised in Hawkes Bay and currently lives in Havelock North with his wife Caroline. They have two adult children and are also grandparents. Their son William works for ICIB in Auckland. As an active and sociable individual Paul enjoys staying fit & going to the gym, DIY activities around his house and garden, paddleboarding and spending time socialising with family & friends. In the ‘Footy Season’ you will find him supporting his local football club “The Wanderers”.

Rebecca joined ICIB in July 2024. Rebecca has a background in finance, property and financial services and is currently working towards her level 5 certification in fire and general insurance.

Tracey joined Village Insurance in 2022. Her professional background includes compliance, paraplanning and client support roles. She has worked in NZ, Australia and the UK. Tracey has experience in dealing with investments, risk insurance, superannuation, mortgages and retirement planning and has qualifications in business and financial services.

William joined the insurance industry in 2000 as a commercial underwriter with NZ based insurers before moving into broking in 2013. He now specialises in brokering and risk management, with a depth of expertise in most areas of insurance. William has a focus on transport, forestry, manufacturing, engineering, food processing and expanded polystyrene risks in the Hawkes Bay and East Coast regions. He is passionate about customer service and delivering the best possible outcomes for his clients, regardless of the complexity of their business risks.

William is a Director and Shareholder of ICIB Hawkes Bay.

Rachel started working with ICIB in November 2023, coming from a background in Finance & Accounts Payable. Moving from Palmerston North to sunny Hawkes Bay to be with family, took on the opportunity to broaden her horizons with ICIB Havelock North. Now working in a great team as a Broker Support.

Selina joined the Insurance Industry in 2007, accepting a role with a small locally owned motor vehicle Insurance Company. She transitioned into the Broking world in 2013, working as a Commercial Broker Assistant, Inhouse Claims Adviser, then moving into a Commercial Broker Role.

Selina started with ICIB Brokerweb in December 2023. She is client focused, loves meeting new people and building relationships

Ange is our Waikato based Life & Health Adviser. She has a wealth of experience across the 'people risk' within businesses, including the rural & agricultural sector and private life & health based insurances. Ange prides herself on delivering high quality customer service by accurately assessing client needs and recommending the most suitable policies and products. Away from work, Ange enjoys spending time with her family, coaching basketball and cheering on the Chiefs!

Fran is a registered Life and Health Adviser.

Her career has predominately been in financial services, with over 15 years experience within rural insurance, business banking and commercial relationship management.

She is passionate about the importance of protecting yourself and your family and working with you to ensure your coverage is appropriate. She brings a holistic view on financial risk to help you get the advice you are looking for.

Gemma joined Village Insurance in 2023. Her professional background includes key client management, business development and retail management, working with both small/medium and corporate clients. Gemma has qualifications in business and is looking forward to expanding her knowledge within the insurance industry.

Kathy joined ICIB Brokerweb in 2013 to establish the Life & Health business in Canterbury, after working in insurance broking and underwriting roles for 10 years. She is a specialist in implementing and managing employee benefit insurance work schemes. Kathy has worked alongside many Canterbury businesses to provide peace of mind if the unforeseen was to occur and is rated as one of the top brokers with leading NZ insurers.

Kim joined ICIB Life (Hawkes Bay) Limited in October 2023, bringing 15 years of experience in the insurance and financial advice industry. She is passionate about family risk protection and is looking forward to using her expertise to develop exclusive insurance solutions for her clients. A proud Havelock North local, Kim goes above and beyond to help and support clients with their unique insurance needs and works with them to develop a personalised solution.

Megan joined ICIB Brokerweb in 2019 after spending several years in the Banking and Financial Services industry, both in the UK and New Zealand. Megan has extensive experience in a variety of roles within the Life and Health Team, most recently moving up to a Team Leader and Operations Co-Ordinator position. Megan is passionate about people, investing time into her team to support and development of their career progression.

Nigel joined ICIB Brokerweb in 2023 bringing with him an extensive amount of knowledge and expertise with a career that began in the industry in 2005.  Nigel enjoys working closely with his clients and has a passion for helping people protect what is most important to them, through the implementation of great risk management plans. He has a degree in economics and management and enjoys spending his spare time with his family.

Paul has been in the industry since 1998 and has a wealth of knowledge and experience. Paul’s passion in the business is spending time getting to know his clients, understanding their personal and business needs to ensure they are adequately covered for the present and the future.

Paul was born and raised in Hawkes Bay and currently lives in Havelock North with his wife Caroline. They have two adult children and are also grandparents. Their son William works for ICIB in Auckland. As an active and sociable individual Paul enjoys staying fit & going to the gym, DIY activities around his house and garden, paddleboarding and spending time socialising with family & friends. In the ‘Footy Season’ you will find him supporting his local football club “The Wanderers”.

Working in life and health insurance since 2012, Renee has developed a keen knowledge of the claims and administration side of the industry.  She joined the ICIB team in 2017 and works as Executive Assistant to Life Adviser Zac Emery, assisting with claims, communicating with clients and making sure ICIB Life runs smoothly.

Tracey joined Village Insurance in 2022. Her professional background includes compliance, paraplanning and client support roles. She has worked in NZ, Australia and the UK. Tracey has experience in dealing with investments, risk insurance, superannuation, mortgages and retirement planning and has qualifications in business and financial services.

Zac manages ICIB’s in-house life & health advisory that was established in 2013 to manage the people-based risks for business owners and their families.  He has also developed a boutique employee benefits service that caters to a range of ICIB clients from small offices through to multi-national corporate clients. 

With 23 years in the insurance industry, I spent 9 years at Nedbank Private Wealth in South Africa, specialising as a broker for high-net-worth clients.

I relocated to New Zealand in 2023 and joined ICIB as broker support in July 2024. I am passionate about delivering high-quality support and contributing to my team’s success while finalising my Level 5 Certificate in Financial Services.

Christine has been working in the insurance industry for over 30 years and started with ICIB Brokerweb in 2022.

Christine specialises in domestic insurances and has a passion for learning about her clients and their personal needs.

Outside of work Christine loves gardening, music and spending time with Family and Friends.

Debbie has been working in the insurance industry for over 30 years; Having spent time working as both a Broker and for Insurers in claims and underwriting.

This experience gives Debbie a unique understanding of how to find the best solutions for our clients and her focus on excellence means that we utilize our systems and processes to their best capacity.

Emily joined the ICIB Brokerweb team in July 2023, previously having worked in the retail sector

Hayley came into the insurance industry in 2018 as a receptionist and found her passion working her way up through the industry to become a commercial broker, Hayley excels at helping clients find the right insurance for their personal needs. She believes it her is her responsibility to ensure her clients are making the best possible decisions for their unique situations.

Helen joined the ICIB Brokerweb team in March 2023, coming from the agriculture retail sector, where she was part of the management team of her store.

Jess has a strong background in client management and has worked in client focussed roles for most of her career. Born and raised in the Manawatu area, Jess loves to spend the weekends exploring her community.

Covering both personal and commercial lines, Jess is working towards a reputation for developing strategic policy solutions to meet diverse client needs.

When not helping clients navigate their insurance needs, Jess enjoys spending time with her daughters, baking, and gardening.

Jess started her insurance career in 2008 working various roles at a large global firm gaining experience in personal lines, commercial and corporate insurance. Jess joined ICIB Brokerweb in August 2023.

Liz gained her NZ Diploma in Legal Executive Studies while working as Administrator at Apparelmaster Manawatu. Liz started working in insurance at State Insurance in 2010.

Sarah started her career in the insurance industry in 2006 as a receptionist, progressing through the company into a broker support role and in 2023 become a Broker. Sarah comes with a wealth of knowledge and thrives on fulfilling her client’s needs. She particularly enjoys the personal contact and building long terms relationships.

Out of work, Sarah enjoys spending time with her family, especially anything outside, as long as the suns shining.

Bruce joined the insurance industry some 30 years ago as a life adviser before moving into the fire and general space and then to where he is now as a senior broker.

A highlight of his career has been incepting & looking after the nationwide Subway Franchise facility since its inception in 1997.

Bruce loves insurance as believes our industry is all about relationships and helping people to achieve their goals in business & to protect their assets.

Cherise joined ICIB Brokerweb in 2022. She previously worked within a large corporate company as a claims/warranty administrator. Cherise is looking forward to expanding her knowledge within the industry particularly in the commercial lines area.

In early 2023 she received her level 5 certification with ANZIIF New Zealand Compliance for Advisers (General Insurance Broking)

Debbie started in the insurance industry in 1977 in New Zealand. After moving to Australia in 1978 she remained in the insurance industry where she specialized in claims management within the broking industry. After returning to New Zealand in 1992 she eventually moved into insurance broking.

Debbie’s main focus is ensuring that clients are offered, and understand, what covers best suit their exposures and are most relevant to their needs.

Jenny Gifkins has been a professional insurance broker for both Commercial, Rural and Domestic risks for over 22 years. Her strengths are her relationships with her clients and always going the extra mile to ensure that both their covers are adequate and up to date as well as ensuring they have the best cover for their dollar spend.

Integrity and honesty are part of Jenny's key values.

Josie has been in the insurance industry over 20 years with experience in underwriting for fire and general insurance and as a personal lines broker. She also has vast knowledge in commercial and general claims.

Josie has the NZ Certificate in Financial Services Level 5 in General Insurance

Katie was born and raised in the sunny Hawkes Bay.

She came into the insurance industry with a background in the finance sector and joined the team at ICIB Brokerweb in May 2022 as a personal lines broker.

She has recently received her Level 5 certification through ANZIIF New Zealand Compliance for Advisers (General Insurance Broking).

Keith is a committed highly motivated Commercial Insurance Broker with over 20 years' experience throughout the New Zealand Insurance market, as an underwriter as well as a broker many of those years specializing in Churches, Retail, Engineering, Local & National Supermarkets, International Expats and Community Charitable Trusts.

Passionate in being in "partnership" with his clients and understanding their needs and requirements.

He's a strong believer in having personal 24/7 service.

Nisha moved to New Zealand in 2023 and joined ICIB Brokerweb in October. Nisha has worked in India for one of the UK’s largest broking networks with a particular focus on financial lines (Directors & officer’s) and has extensive knowledge on Lloyd’s syndicates. She has good knowledge of insurance functional areas like renewals, policy administration, documentation & placements. Nisha is looking forward to expanding her knowledge in New Zealand insurance industry and has attained the New Zealand Certificate for Financial Services General Insurance(Level 5)

Phil has over 35 years’ experience in the insurance industry. Having worked in a number of locations around New Zealand, Phil has amassed experience across a wide range of local, regional and national occupations, risks, exposures and risk management solutions.

Phil now leads the Napier team and enjoys building strong relationships through service and advocacy.

Sarah has been working in the Insurance industry since 1989, where she started with NZI and then moved to ICIB Brokerweb in 2006.

During this time she has held various roles comprising, broking, accounts, claims and administration. Sarah enjoys the technical side of insurance and trying to find solutions for her clients.

Vicki has been in the Insurance industry for many years, having extensive experience in broking in South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.

Originally from the Hawkes Bay, Vicki returned from her OE after 36 years as she finally felt her home town calling her back.

Vicki has attained the New Zealand Certificate for Financial Services General Insurance(Level 5).

Bridget joined the ICIB Brokerweb Nelson team in January 2024. Having ventured into the insurance world in 1992, Bridget has over 30 years experience in customer service and other business operation support roles. Originally from Blenheim, Bridget returned from an extended 5 year overseas trip working in London and Europe, settling back in New Zealand. Nelson has been home for many years, where she enjoys the outdoors with family and friends at the beach, walking tracks, cafes, arts culture and the amazing sunshine that the 'top of the south' has to offer.

Following a move from Auckland in 2021, Natalie brings several decades of broking and risk management expertise to the Tasman region. She is focused on 'raising the bar' for local businesses both in terms of servicing levels and broking capability. Rosalie started in the Insurance industry when she left school, spent mainly in the Wellington region. She has worked for insurance firms and brokers, building up a trove of industry knowledge and experience. After moving to Nelson in 2012, Rosalie joined ICIB’s South Island team as an account manager. She enjoys what the Nelson region has to offer with many walking and cycle tracks, beautiful beaches, wineries, cafes and of course a great climate.

Dave has worked in the Insurance Industry for over 50 years. He began his broking career in 1986 for Jardine Insurance Brokers in Hamilton. He then became a founding director of the very successful broking company Lowe Schollum & Jones. After many years this was sold to Brokerweb and now forms part of the ICIB Brokerweb Hamilton branch that we are today. Dave is one of our most experienced brokers in the Hamilton branch.

Jane started her insurance career in 2006, joining the ICIB Brokerweb team in February 2023. Growing up in rural Waikato, Jane has a genuine interest in farming which has seen her expand her knowledge in Rural and Agri insurance. She prides herself on very high client service and is always willing to go the extra mile for her clients.

Kassidy joined ICIB Brokerweb in July 2024. She has started her insurance career as a Broker Support for two domestic brokers and has gained a wide range of knowledge and skills working alongside her colleagues. Kassidy will be working towards her Anzif Certificate in Financial Services in the near future and aims to become a broker shortly after completing this.

Leeanne started working in the insurance industry in 2015 after spending thirteen years in the finance industry in Australia.

Leeanne joined the ICIB Brokerweb team in 2023 and manages a portfolio of commercial and domestic clients. She is focused and passionate about customer service and providing the best outcomes for her clients.

Maria started her insurance career at a large broking firm in April 2009 as a Broker Support, she moved over to ICIB Brokerweb in December 2023 to further her career as a Broker Support/Admin Manager. Maria has completed her Level 5 Certificate in Financial Services.

Nick has worked in the insurance industry since 1995 with broker roles in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. Nick joined ICIB Brokerweb in May 2022 and brings with him commercial insurance experience and knowledge to provide client management with programmer design. Nick is an ANZIF Certified Insurance Professional and a Registered Financial Advisor

Navjeet joined the insurance industry in 2022 as an account broker. She has a Graduate Diploma in Accounting level – 7 and worked as a volunteer for the Red Cross.

Navjeet joined ICIB Brokerweb in 2023 assisting commercial, domestic, and rural brokers within the branch. Navjeet’s clients appreciate her friendly and timely response to queries and assistance with the claims outcomes that she provides.

Nicole joined ICIB Brokerweb in February 2023 after immigrating from South Africa with her husband and two sons. Nicole began her career as a domestic broker in 2008. She has managed a large portfolio of domestic clients for many years since, gaining a wide range of knowledge and skills over this time.

Paul started working in insurance for his family’s business E Ruys & Co in 2010. The role involved working in a variety of positions including administration, commercial and domestic broking and management. In 2020 E Ruys & Co was purchased by Brokerweb. Paul has continued in his role from his Ruys & Co days and manages a diverse insurance portfolio of commercial and domestic clients.

Rick has over 35 years’ experience in the insurance industry. He has held branch management roles as an insurance underwriter and broker. Prior to this, Rick was the Commercial Motor Underwriting manager for a specialist underwriting agency. Rick spent a large part of his life working in Auckland before returning to his home roots in Hamilton where he is now the Waikato branch manager of ICIB Brokerweb. Rick is a Certified Insurance Professional and a Registered Financial Advisor with Level 5 certification in Financial Services.

Sarah is a broker support who can speak both English and Mandarin. Sarah is from Beijing, the capital of China and has been living in New Zealand for about 15 years. Sarah graduated from the Waikato University and started working in the insurance industry from 2019. Previously, Sarah was working in China as an Executive Assistant of Shell China and ENI China in the oil and gas industry. She enjoys working with her team and helps clients who have a language barrier every now and then.

Stacey started working in the insurance industry in 2006. While gaining insurance industry experience she studied in her spare time and completed a Bachelor of Business. Stacey has also completed her Level 5 Certificate in Financial Services (both in 2009 and 2022). She takes pride in doing a great job for her clients and is often referred to others by her happy customers. Stacey worked for large global broking companies before joining ICIB Brokerweb in 2023

Sue started her insurance career in the 1980’s with an insurance company, gaining experience in sales, customer service and claims handling. She moved on to a broking house in the early 1990’s as an office manager with a brief break to start a family. On her return to the insurance industry, she went in to a broker support role before eventually becoming a domestic and commercial broker for the company.

Tracey has worked in the insurance industry since 1988 and has insurance experience with both domestic and commercial clients. She has formed strong customer relationships with her clients over the years, and continues to provide great service to her client's while continuing to also build new ones.

Tracey is a Certified Insurance Professional and a Registered Financial Advisor with Level 5 certification in Financial Services.

Jude joins ICIB Brokerweb with 30+ years’ worth of experience in the insurance industry, thus bringing with her an extensive knowledge and skill base that is all things insurance. Having specialised in broking for the last 20 years, Jude can assist you with anything from your domestic needs to your business or farm, from basic covers to your specialised requirements. Due to spending her life growing up in Wellington, and bringing up her daughter in the Wairarapa, she is as familiar in the country and she is in the city. Outside of work you're likely to find her supporting local sports from the side line, scouring the local garden centre for unusual plants, enjoying a beverage with friends in the sun, or, if she’s lucky, at her happy place which is the family bach at the beach.

Sheryl has over 20 year's experience in the insurance industry, including two years in commercial underwriting. Sheryl is born and bred in the Wairarapa and has extensive knowledge of both the area and rural & agri insurance. Living locally and with her strong involvement in the community, she has built solid customer relationships. With a school-aged old daughter, Sheryl coaches the year 7&8 netball team for Martinborough School. She is passionate about cooking and all things outdoors. Outside of work she teaches cooking and often goes camping, fishing and hunting.

With over a decade of experience in the insurance industry, Ash is a seasoned insurance broker dedicated to helping clients navigate the complexities of coverage options and financial planning. His extensive knowledge allows him to provide tailored solutions that meet individual and business needs, ensuring comprehensive protection and peace of mind.

As a qualified financial advisor, Ash leverages his expertise to offer strategic insights that empower clients to make informed decisions about their financial future.

Brindley started out in the insurance industry in 1999, spending five years in the insurance company market before becoming a broker. Since then, he has developed a particular interest in engineering and construction risks, contract works and liability insurance – making him an ideal member of ICIB’s specialist risk management team.

Cat has worked in the insurance industry since 2019 and has experience in commercial support and personal lines broking, specialising in pleasurecraft and private prestige motor. Cat joined the ICIB team following a recent move from Blenheim to Auckland. Her detailed approach is reflected in her strong client servicing standards. Cat has completed Level 5 Certification in Financial Services.

Danny joined ICIB in 2021 to provide advice and support the needs of our personal lines customers. He has worked in the insurance industry since 2012 in various domestic and commercial underwriting, claims and credit control roles.  He started broking in 2018 where he has honed his customer care skills. Danny is currently working towards completing his ANZIIF qualifications.

Isobel started in the insurance industry after completing a Bachelor of Arts in 2011. Isobel joined ICIB Brokerweb in 2018, maintaining ICIB’s portfolio of high-net-worth personal lines clients. Isobel has experience in underwriting and claims after working at Lumley Insurance and NZI, as well as both commercial and personal lines broking.

Isobel now works part time as a broker support for Brindley Wood in the West Auckland team.

John Bureta is a dedicated member of our West Auckland branch, Previously, John spent time at Pacific Toyota in Tauranga, where he worked closely with Toyota Insurance and Toyota Finance. This experience, coupled with a wealth of sales experience, has equipped with a strong understanding of customer needs, a passion for people and providing exceptional service. He is working towards his Level 5 NZ Certificate in Financial Services, with aspirations to become a fully licensed broker in the near future. John’s dedication, knowledge, and friendly demeanor make him a valuable asset to our team.

Laura has worked in the insurance industry since 2002, with roles in underwriting, claims and broking in New Zealand, the United Kingdom and Australia. Now based at ICIB’s West Auckland branch, Laura is an ANZIIF Senior Associate, a Certified Insurance Professional and a Registered Financial Advisor.

Maureen joined ICIB Brokerweb in July 2022 and has worked for both global international intermediaries and insurers in the New Zealand insurance market and the Pacific. Maureen holds strong business relationships with NZ and offshore insurers in London working with Lloyd Syndicates, Singapore, China, Australia, and the Pacific. She provides strategic direction and delivery to her clients to ensure sustainable growth, enhancing client experience by continuous improvement of products and by building an insurance programme unique to their business.

Olivia joined ICIB in 2024 after spending the last 10+ years in varied roles from Financial Advisor for AMP, Business Development at American Express, among other advice and development-based roles in the industry. With her drive and care for customer experience she will be able to assist with any queries or insurance requirements you have.

Richard has over 38 years' experience in insurance, giving him a wide range of industry knowledge and customer service experience.  He has worked for a number of insurers and brokers in New Zealand and England.  He joined ICIB in 2018 when the West Auckland office was established.

Rima joined ICIB Brokerweb in 2016 and then had a brief break and rejoined in 2021 again as an Account Manager. Rima has experience over 10 years starting in Personal Lines and then moving up to Commercial Insurance Commercial Underwriter and now as Broker servicing a range of commercial clients.

Vinod has over 35 years Insurance Industry experience, with claims, underwriting, and sales roles in NZ and London. Since 1992, he has worked as a qualified broker in a range of companies, establishing his own company in 2002 to manage his portfolio of business clients. Vinod joined ICIB in 2018 as a contract broker in our new West Auckland office.

With previous experience working in a leading liability and property insurer and a corporate brokerage, Ben started his own business, Financial Independence, in 2009.

His success is such that Financial Independence won the Insurance Advisernet New Zealand Insurance Broker of the Year award in 2014 and again in 2017.

In 2023, Financial Independence merged with ICIB Brokerweb in Tauranga, so Ben now brings his extensive experience to leading the wider Financial Independence and ICIB Brokerweb teams in the Bay of Plenty.
