Grant started his insurance career as an underwriter in his home town of Hawkes Bay, before switching over to broking. Later, he moved to Auckland and spent 16 years in management at a large global insurance firm. When he joined ICIB in 2016, he brought a wealth of leadership experience and knowledge built up over 30+ years in the industry.

Grant is a shareholder and director of ICIB.

Warren joined ICIB as Chief Financial Officer in April 2021. 

Warren has over 15 years’ experience in the financial services industry, primarily in Auckland and London. Prior to joining ICIB, Warren was Financial Controller for a large NZ insurance business where he gained financial leadership, operational and strategic experience within the insurance industry. 

Warren is a Chartered Accountant (FCCA) and has a Bachelor of Management Studies (Accounting and Marketing).

Richard began his career as a broker in the London insurance market. Following 10 years in Asia where he held a number of senior leadership roles in both Indonesia and Hong Kong, he arrived in New Zealand in 2008. Richard joined ICIB in 2021 bringing with him his extensive experience in developing client management and insurance programme development and placement.

Simon has over 30 years’ experience in the insurance business, including 25 as a broker. He has worked in New Zealand and the UK, is a qualified Lloyds Broker and an Associate of the Insurance Brokers Association of New Zealand. He brings those qualifications and extensive experience to his role as Executive Broker at ICIB.

Originally from Zimbabwe, Tracey has been ICIB’s Accountant and Office Manager since she moved to New Zealand in 2007. Before then, she worked as an accountant in a range of industries in Perth and Adelaide. Tracey is a qualified accountant and multi-talented office manager.

Daniel started working in insurance while studying Business Management at Leeds University. After 6 years as a broker, he took a role managing insurers and Lloyds’ syndicates for the UK’s largest broking network. In 2010, Daniel moved to New Zealand and joined ICIB. Now, he manages a portfolio of clients and leads the ICIB Gold Medal Vintage winery scheme.

Brindley started out in the insurance industry in 1999, spending five years in the insurance company market before becoming a broker. Since then, he has developed a particular interest in engineering and construction risks, contract works and liability insurance – making him an ideal member of ICIB’s specialist risk management team.

David started his career in Kuala Lumpur, working in a Loss Adjustment firm before emigrating to New Zealand in 1989. He joined ICIB as a broker in 1993, eventually becoming a shareholder and senior associate. David’s in-depth experience and knowledge make him an invaluable member of the team.

During his 35-year insurance career, Phil gained extensive experience in a variety of leadership, sales and claims roles. That experience, combined with his Business Studies and Finance Qualifications, makes him an effective and knowledgeable Operations Manager for the ICIB team.

Denise joined ICIB in November 2022 after returning to New Zealand with her family. Denise has worked in Singapore and London in both insurance and reinsurance across several classes of business, with a particular focus on financial lines. She brings with her a varied and extensive knowledge of liability insurances, client management, insurance programme design and placement, along with a wide network of the international insurance market.

Laura has worked in the insurance industry since 2002, with roles in underwriting, claims and broking in New Zealand, the United Kingdom and Australia. Now based at ICIB’s West Auckland branch, Laura is an ANZIIF Senior Associate, a Certified Insurance Professional and a Registered Financial Advisor.

Tony started his career in 2011, and worked in a variety of claims, recovery and fraud investigation roles. He qualified as a broker in 2014, working in domestic and commercial insurance. He uses all those skills in his role as Account Manager at ICIB. Tony is also bilingual – fluent in English and Mandarin.

After almost a decade in the insurance industry, Michael joined the ICIB team in December 2018. He has experience in both domestic and commercial insurance, having worked in various underwriting and sales roles before training as a broker in 2016.

Tracy has worked in the insurance industry since 1991, gaining experience in domestic and commercial insurance, and spending a decade as a Life Insurance Consultant in South Africa. She joined the ICIB team in 2009 and now manages a domestic portfolio and select commercial scheme portfolios.

Lisa has recently joined ICIB having spent much of her insurance career as a Commercial Underwriter.

Robin started in the insurance industry in 2002. She has worked in New Zealand and Australia in broking roles across various industries including aviation, wine production/export and clothing manufacturing, from small business to global. Vihara joined the finance team in 2023 on a part time basis, whilst studying for her MBA in Supply Chain and Logistics. Vihara has held a number of executive accounting roles in Sri Lanka and is looking forward to gaining NZ based experience whilst continuing her studies.

Jamie has worked in the insurance industry since 2016, specialising in motor claims for both domestic and commercial lines. Now, he uses that knowledge in his role as an internal broker at ICIB. Angela joined ICIB in August 2022 and brings with her 14 years of experience in the life, disability and health benefits industry. Her knowledge helps her offer expert guidance to clients. Angela began her insurance career in a contact center, moving to key account management with one of the largest life insurance companies in New Zealand. She transferred to broking in 2017 and managed a large group portfolio for life, disability and health covers, for both local and global clients.

Working in life and health insurance since 2012, Renee has developed a keen knowledge of the claims and administration side of the industry.  She joined the ICIB team in 2017 and works as Executive Assistant to Life Adviser Zac Emery, assisting with claims, communicating with clients and making sure ICIB Life runs smoothly.

Jerry started his loss adjustment career in 1979, working in Malaysia, Taiwan, and Brunei, and moving up to senior management positions before migrating to New Zealand in 2002. In Auckland, he worked for an international loss adjusting firm before joining EQC, then managed complex earthquake and commercial claims for a large insurer.  Jerry joined ICIB in 2016 as our Claims Manager, bringing with him vast knowledge in loss adjusting, insurance and management.

Jeremy has over 20 year loss adjusting experience, commencing as a trainee with an international firm in Malaysia, and rising to the ranks of senior management. He has dealt with a multitude of general claims in Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore and has a penchant for Business Interruption Claims. In 2020 he joined the Forensic Advisory Services division in Auckland. In 2022 Jeremy joined ICIB as a Senior Claims broker. His focus is clear communication and successful resolution of claims by adopting a commercially sensible and pragmatic approach.

Ben has worked in the insurance industry since 2013 and has experience in both domestic and commercial insurance, having worked in various claims handling roles. He now uses his considerable acquired knowledge in his role as claims broker at ICIB.

Rick has over 35 years’ experience in the insurance industry. He has held branch management roles as an insurance underwriter and broker. Prior to this, Rick was the Commercial Motor Underwriting manager for a specialist underwriting agency. Rick spent a large part of his life working in Auckland before returning to his home roots in Hamilton where he is now the Waikato branch manager of ICIB Brokerweb. Rick is a Certified Insurance Professional and a Registered Financial Advisor with Level 5 certification in Financial Services.

With previous experience working in a leading liability and property insurer and a corporate brokerage, Ben started his own business, Financial Independence, in 2009.

His success is such that Financial Independence won the Insurance Advisernet New Zealand Insurance Broker of the Year award in 2014 and again in 2017.

In 2023, Financial Independence merged with ICIB Brokerweb in Tauranga, so Ben now brings his extensive experience to leading the wider Financial Independence and ICIB Brokerweb teams in the Bay of Plenty.

Phil has over 35 years’ experience in the insurance industry. Having worked in a number of locations around New Zealand, Phil has amassed experience across a wide range of local, regional and national occupations, risks, exposures and risk management solutions.

Phil now leads the Napier team and enjoys building strong relationships through service and advocacy.

William joined the insurance industry in 2000 as a commercial underwriter with NZ based insurers before moving into broking in 2013. He now specialises in brokering and risk management, with a depth of expertise in most areas of insurance. William has a focus on transport, forestry, manufacturing, engineering, food processing and expanded polystyrene risks in the Hawkes Bay and East Coast regions. He is passionate about customer service and delivering the best possible outcomes for his clients, regardless of the complexity of their business risks.

Hannah joined ICIB Brokerweb in June 2023. She previously worked in a management role within the retail sector for 13 years. She brings extensive administration and customer support knowledge and experience to her new role and is looking forward to building strong client relationships. Sheryl joins ICIB with 19 years experience in the insurance industry, including two years in commercial underwriting. Bridget joined the ICIB Brokerweb Nelson team in January 2024. Having ventured into the insurance world in 1992, Bridget has over 30 years experience in customer service and other business operation support roles. Originally from Blenheim, Bridget returned from an extended 5 year overseas trip working in London and Europe, settling back in New Zealand. Nelson has been home for many years, where she enjoys the outdoors with family and friends at the beach, walking tracks, cafes, arts culture and the amazing sunshine that the 'top of the south' has to offer.

Catherine started her insurance career over 30 years ago in Wellington, holding a variety of senior broking and leadership roles. 

In 2016 Catherine moved to Christchurch to take up a regional leadership role and subsequently joined ICIB Brokerweb Risk Services (BWRS) in 2022 as the Branch Manager. Now part of the ICIB BrokerWeb team, Catherine continues to lead the Christchurch team.
